Delivery

How it is delivered

  1. Requirements

    Site, height, equipment and loading.

  2. Quotation

    Scope, assumptions and exclusions.

  3. Engineering

    Design and approvals coordination.

  4. Installation

    Civils, erection, earthing and cabinets.

  5. Handover

    Inspection, report and sign-off.

How quotations, site readiness and handover work

Beyond the mast

Radio, fibre and site services

Towers

Masts and towers

Guyed and self-supporting masts for RAN, microwave and RF systems, with foundations, earthing, cabinets and solar support.

Radio

Microwave and RF

Surveys, planning and design, installation and commissioning of base stations, CPE, point-to-point and point-to-multipoint links.

Swap

New installs and swap-outs

New system installations, acceptance testing, live cutovers and swap-out of old equipment, with logistics.

Recover

Recoveries and relocations

Recovery, decommissioning and relocation of equipment and sites.

Fibre

Fibre (FTTx)

Route surveys, route and network design, installation, commissioning and testing, including on road, rail and power line servitudes.

Maintain

Maintenance and audits

Scheduled and emergency maintenance of masts and wireless systems, plus network asset and site audits.

Old equipment is disposed of to approved specifications and environmental requirements, with disposal certificates. Teams are equipped with vehicles, tools, climbing gear and rescue kits.

Practical completion

What a mast handover includes

Every mast installation ends with a practical completion inspection and a written handover report. A typical report confirms:

  • Foundations cast to the approved design and cured before loading
  • Mast erected in the manufacturer's assembly sequence
  • Verticality and base level verified
  • All structural bolts torqued and marked
  • Galvanised finish inspected for damage
  • Earthing conductors and electrodes installed
  • Cabinet mounted level, secured and lockable
  • Keys and records handed to the client
  • Site cleared and construction waste removed
  • Client walkthrough and practical completion sign-off
  • Snag list recorded, even if nil

24 m self-supporting telecommunications mast, Limpopo

Scope
Site establishment, excavation, reinforced concrete foundations, mast erection, verticality and bolt torque checks, earthing, outdoor telecommunications cabinet and site reinstatement.
Outcome
Inspected, accepted and handed over at practical completion with no outstanding snags. Ready for antenna and transmission equipment.

Context

We build the infrastructure. We do not operate networks.

Tyltar builds and maintains towers, masts, radio and fibre infrastructure for operators. It does not operate licensed telecommunications networks.

Mast extensions. Whether a mast can be extended depends on structural design, foundations, anchors, equipment loading, site conditions and engineering approval.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do you operate telecommunications networks?

No. Tyltar provides tower, mast, radio and fibre infrastructure services. It does not operate licensed networks.

Can an existing mast be extended?

Possibly. Extension depends on structural design, foundations, anchors, equipment loading, site conditions and engineering approval.

Do you install our radio equipment as well as the mast?

Yes, if it is included in the quotation. Mast installation and equipment installation, alignment and commissioning are quoted as separate items.

What information is needed for a quotation?

Site location, required height, mast type, equipment and mounting heights, power arrangements, access conditions and any expansion plans.
