Partner with Tyltar on your land
Own land in Southern Africa with wind or solar potential? Drop a pin on the map and tell us about it. Submitting is free and does not commit you to anything.
Step 1
Show us where your land is
Click or tap the map to place a pin on your land, then drag it to adjust. You can also type coordinates or use your phone's location while you are on the property.
How partnering works
From a pin on the map to a project
Most sites do not go all the way. Those that do take several years, and you are consulted at every step.
Share your location
Place a pin and tell us about the land.
Desktop screening
We check resource, grid, access and constraints.
Conversation and visit
If promising, we call you and arrange a visit.
Agreement
An option or lease, agreed with your own advice.
Measurement and studies
Met mast or LiDAR, plus specialist studies.
Development
Permits, grid connection and investment readiness.
What we look for
What makes land suitable
No single factor decides it. Our screening looks at all of these together.
- A good wind resource, or strong sunshine for solar
- Power lines or a substation within reach, with spare capacity
- Enough land, with room for turbines or panels and buffers
- Road access for heavy deliveries
- Few environmental, heritage or aviation constraints
- Zoning and neighbouring land uses that are compatible
- Willing landowners, and neighbours kept informed
Partnership options
What a partnership can look like
Arrangements are agreed individually. We recommend you take your own legal advice before signing anything.
Option agreement
Secures the right to study the land for an agreed period while measurement and studies are carried out.
Long-term lease
If the project goes ahead, the project area is leased for the life of the project, on agreed terms.
Co-development
Where it suits both sides, deeper participation in the project can be discussed case by case.
Questions
Questions from landowners
Does it cost anything to submit my land?
No. Submitting your land's location is free and does not commit you to anything.
Will you come onto my land?
Only with your permission. If your land looks promising from our desktop screening, we will contact you first and arrange any site visit with you.
Is every site suitable?
No. Wind and solar projects need the right resource, a nearby grid connection, suitable access and few environmental constraints. We will tell you if we cannot take your land further.
Can I keep farming the land?
Often, yes. On wind projects most of the land usually stays in agricultural use around the turbines and access roads. Solar projects use the land more fully within the array area. This is agreed with you.
How long does development take?
Renewable energy projects typically take several years from first assessment to construction, because measurement, studies, permits and grid connection all take time.
What happens to my information?
We use it only to assess your land and contact you, as set out in our privacy policy. We do not sell it.
